Tour of Moody Early Childhood Center Worth the Time

One of the most important things happening in Galveston is happening in the former San Jacinto Elementary School building at 1110 21st St.

That building houses the Moody Early Childhood Center, which opened in late August with the mission of providing early education to Galveston children, those from economically disadvantaged families in particular.

It’s impossible to overstate just how important the program is to Galveston’s future and to the future success of Galveston Independent School District in particular. That’s because it’s impossible to overstate the importance of early education.

Moody Early Childhood Center Opens Today

The Moody Early Childhood Center will open today, a week later than planned.

The new pre-kindergarten school was supposed to open Aug. 22. The opening was delayed because of a licensing issue that is now resolved.
